Coach Pitch Rules
  • Play 11 players on the field at one time. Space one extra player in the outfield and one in the infield as evenly as possible.
  • Each player will sit equally over the course of the season. No player should see more playing time than the others.
  • No player shall sit more than one inning per game.
  • Each player shall get a chance to play each defensive position during the year. (Only exception is safety positions ei: catcher, pitcher and first base).
  • Game score will NOT be kept, nor will wins or losses be counted. This is purely a developmental league.
  • Bases shall be set 60 feet apart from each other.
  • No stealing of bases.
  • Outs will be counted
  • Coach shall pitch from 30-35 feet (coaches discretion).
  • Coaches are encouraged to throw from one knee to have proper angle of pitch.
  • Each player will receive 6 pitches. If player cannot successfully strike the ball, he/she will be allowed to advance to first base to encourage proper base running skill development.
  • No bunting allowed.
  • Any ball hit in fair territory, with a full swing, is a live ball. Again, no bunting allowed.
  • No inning will start after 1 hour of playing time has elapsed.
  • Each team will bat the entire lineup in an inning. The inning is ended when the last batter has completed his/her turn at bat.
  • Head coach should mix the batting order to assure that each player gets a chance to bat in all spots of the batting order. A sample batting order is as follows:
