Players who compete in the Babe Ruth are league age 13 to 15 years old. For more information regarding league age. All players will be required to perform an assessment to determine the players skills based on catching, fielding, throwing and hitting. All official Babe Ruth rules will be followed and games will be played on a diamond with a 90-foot base path and a pitching distance of 60 feet 6 inches. Upon completion of the regular season, a post-season tournament will be held. Players participating in these divisions can be considered for our 13, 14 and 15 year old All Star teams. Studies have shown that many young players lose interest in the game of baseball around 13 years of age due to decreased playing time and the fear of competing with players who have already experienced one to two years playing on the standard 90-foot diamond. This division will provide a competitive environment to allow kids to compete with other players at or above their own experience level. This will allow them to develop their skills and to prepare for high school baseball.
